DEATH ON THE SLIPWAY

Production completed: 22 June 1961
UK Premiere (London, Season 1): 24 June 1961

Posing as a metallurgist, Steed enters the shipyard where a nuclear submarine is being built—and meets an old nemesis, Kolchek. Spotting Steed, Kolchek blackmails the yard foreman into planting a bomb to kill Steed so that he can obtain the sub's plans. Steed catches the foreman's lover searching his room and learns about the bomb, which he finds and throws into the water just before it goes off.

 Trivia

Nyree Dawn Porter, who plays Liz Wells, was the producers' first pick to play Cathy Gale. See the Behind the Scenes page for more details.
