Episode 155: Tara King Era |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Production completed: 10 January 1969 While carrying out orders to infiltrate a top-security defense site, Tara is identified as working with an enemy agent. It's an elaborate frame-up, of course, but by the time she can prove it, the damage is already done. If not for Steed and his lip-reader, it would be raining missiles any minute.
It's been quite a while since we've had a really interesting diabolical mastermind. This fellow is almost mesmerizing! And a sharp dresser, too. Tara is in rare form as well, breaking through Britain's master defense system (as devised by Steed) and staging an elaborate plot to frame Steed as proof it happened to her.
Screenwriter Jeremy Burnham was a guest actor who appeared in three episodes: "The Town of No Return," "The Fear Merchants" and "The Forget-Me-Knot." Howard Blake composed the incidental music for this episode. *This unofficial subtitle is by Yours Truly.
After knocking him out, Steed desperately tries to find the name of the mastermind's tailor. "Oh!"
