THE RADIOACTIVE MAN

Production completed: 25 February 1961
UK Premiere: 25 February 1961

The janitor at an atomic research facility steals a capsule of radioactive material and flees. Dr. Keel learns that the stolen material will not only kill the man, but also anyone else in close proximity, within 36 hours of contact. Believing he is being pursued by the police because of a forged passport, and not the stolen isotope, the man goes into hiding. His girlfriend arranges for him to meet someone who will get him safely out of the country—but who really intends to kill him for the fee. Following a lead provided by Steed, Keel learns the man's whereabouts from the girlfriend, and he and a doctor from the research facility use a Geiger counter to track him down.
