Give the masses opium, or at least an opportunity for a second hand buzz. This is Cartney's mantra as he supplies his partiers with what appear to be giant marijuana stalks jutting out of wooden missionary servers, for shame. His affinity for snuff has its own contemporary applications, and Cartney is willing to share that, too—even with Steed. What goes around comes around, he must figure, since Steed may be his very own William Wilson (the titular character from an Edgar Allen Poe tale) come to haunt him into further acts of defying gravity.

Washing down this airy concoction of illusionary narcotics is his healthy supply of bottled Liquid Smile—be it wine, champagne, whiskey or the really hard stuff. It would seem that Cartney is only capable of overdosing on his Queen of Sin, Mrs. Peel—the very intoxicant that has so many of us hooked!
