Lest anyone think I am just a grumpy old fart with absolutely nothing pleasant to say, I decided it was time for something fun. In this case, it is more like pure, mindless silliness. Perhaps I am too easily amused...?

At any rate, I get a strange kick from the output of online translators, such as Babel Fish. Granted, they are still early in development, and are actually meant more for technical document translation, but they can also be a source of amusement.

Got a few spare minutes? Need a good chuckle? Tired of the tired old office email humor? Take a short bit of text, translate it to another language, and then translate it back. You'll see something like this:

Original: The Avengers Forever, founding member of TheAvengers.TV, is a virtual encyclopedia of the cult British TV classic. Each and every episode, from David Keel to The New Avengers, has its own page brimming with information, and a whole lot more! So kick back, pop open a bottle o' bubbly, and enjoy a long, loving Avengers reverie.

French: Avengers for always, the founder member of TheAvengers.TV, is a virtual encyclopedia traditional British of the worship TV.
