13 October. Basically, the bad news is that the new Optimum New Avengers DVD video quality is nearly identical to that of the old Contenders; the good news is that the commentaries are no rumor. 23 September. The New Avengers is enjoying a new DVD release for R2 (Great Britain and Europe) from Optimum Home Entertainment. Rumor has it there will be two commentaries, both featuring Brian Clemens and Gareth Hunt, on "The Eagle's Nest" and "Dead Men Are Dangerous." Only trouble is, what's the packaging really look like? 25 January. The Avengers '62 in the flesh, so to speak, leaves no doubt now that A&E have finally done it. Kudos to A&E, congratulations, and many, many thanks for making it happen!
