24 Six more new New Avengers episodes reviewed. Also, I'd like to extend a hearty thank you to the visitors who are making use of my amazon.com storefront. It's rewarding to see such support!
20 If some of the new review page features are a little confusing, it's all spelled out in the revised Foreword. 18 All Emma Peel episodes now feature French and German titles. 11 Two new New Avengers episodes reviewed: "Cat Amongst the Pigeons" and "To Catch a Rat." Also upgraded images for these Rigg monochrome episodes: "The Town of No Return," "The Gravediggers," "The Cybernauts," "The Master Minds" and "Too Many Christmas Trees." And here's a puzzler for you: Why would these titles change? 10 Horrors! Volume 1 one of my brand new Avengers '65 sets was defective, so I chose a random episode for the first review page image upgrade: "Death at Bargain Prices." Compare the images with those of other episodes—the new tapes are fabulous (at least, the ones that aren't defective). New sound will be coming soon. Also added another new trivia quiz question. My only complaint about the new videos—the "chessboard" intro was left off! I've contacted A&E to find out why. Some fans are also upset that the ABC logo was lopped off the ends—not quite sure why folks would become attached to that, however. 9 The continuity gremlins strike again! See the trivia sections for "The Town of No Return" and "Castle De'Ath." 7 New New Avengers are beginning to trickle in once more. Keep an eye on the episode list for new additions over the next several weeks, starting with "Emily." 6 Now the French language sites on the links page are in French—or, to be more appropriate, "les liens vers les sites francais sont desormais en francais." Many thanks to David Fakrikian. The other languages are on their way. 4 Are you an organizational purist? Do you have a strong preference for the way the episodes should be listed? Now you can see all of the Rigg/Thorson episodes ordered the way you prefer: by UK Transmission, by US Transmission, or by Production, with Bowler Ratings right in the lists as a bonus. What makes a good episode good? Now all Rigg episode review pages have ratings for individual aspects such as plot, writing, direction, cinematography, etc. Some new trivia has been added to "The Frighteners," "Too Many Christmas Trees," "The Hidden Tiger" and "Epic." Finally, there's a bibliography of most of the information sources used for this website (not 100% yet, but it's a start). 2 Mike Noon has recently revamped his Avengers site, Noon Doomsday. |
