TheAvengers.TV International Forum

TheAvengers.TV International Forum: Back Online! 24 June. It only took two months longer than anticipated (principally due to real life issues), but hopefully it will have been worth the wait. The re-launched forum represents all-new code from the ground up, a beautiful new logo by Carlos (Los Vengadores) Pagés, and a collaborative look-and-feel design effort by all member webmasters of TheAvengers.TV. Sure, I probably could have saved a lot of time and effort by using some else's canned script, but then we would not have gotten just what we wanted. The new forum requires registration and logging in to help combat spam and trolls, so hopefully it will be a more pleasant environment, free of bogus posts from "moderators" claiming to have come out of the closet and suchlike. So click on over and join the fun!

In the not-so-nice-news department, A&E have announced the release of The Avengers: The Early Years 1961-62 has been delayed approximately one year. This is certainly a big disappointment, but at least it is reasonably clear the release has been delayed, not canceled. Fingers are crossed! On the flipside of this same coin, however, the previously aborted R4 PAL Australian box set has been resurrected and is due in the fall. Bit of pure trivia: The 30 May 2004 issue of TV Guide (US) ranks The Avengers #17 in their "25 Top Cult Shows Ever." Last but not least, there's a new Dutch Avengers site courtesy of Frank Faber.
