The last of The Avengers (for the US DVD market). 17 January. Several people emailed me simultaneously with the following exciting message from So Young Park at A&E (thanks to all):

Thanks for your email and for your continued support of our products! The current plan is to release The Avengers '61/62 episodes on DVD in July 2004. This is subject to change based on the quality of the masters we get and other factors, obviously, but this is the most recent update. Right now, we believe we will be able to include three episodes from season 1 in the release. As soon as I know more (including a full episode guide and whether the DVD will include THE STRANGE CASE OF THE MISSING CORPSE, I'll let you know, but do feel free to share this news with other fans! Keep in touch. Best, So Young Park, Director, E-Commerce, A&E Television Network

(Personal aside: I am very thankful for fans who share this information with me. I have emailed So Young Park many, many times over the years, and I get a reply maybe every fifth email I send, and the answer is always, "I'll have to get back to you." Surely So Young knows the visibility of The Avengers Forever, so why do I never receive this information directly? Grumble, grumble...)

The Avengers Forever at the ripe old age of seven. 14 January. I've been so distracted with real life lately that I neglected to observe this site's seventh birthday in September. Nice to see it still might have some good mileage left in it. At least there seems to be no end of visitor reviews from Matthew Moore, who has turned in another eight (for a total of 45):

If that's not enough, Tony Gillman (a.k.a. the "Old Avenger") offers his tuppence on "Two's a Crowd." In other news, December feedback is online. Check out that first one—too bad the email address the sender used was bogus, as I'd love to have answered the gentleman. But thanks to some other more positive feedback, the 007 Connection page has seen some revisions courtesy of Mike Vincitore, and "A Surfeit of H2O" has a tad of new trivia from Rob Sinden. And finally, recent chat at the Forum alerted me to the fact that the Links Department fan fiction section was woefully out of date, so it has been duly updated.
