DVDs arrive in the Netherlands. 31 May. Australia may have lost their bid for their first box set (for now), but surprisingly the Netherlands' first box set has hit the street—see AvengerNews for the details plus a look at the box and menu art. More new stuff... Thanks to Jim Warren, TAF now has a bio of Nyree Dawn Porter: The Mrs. Gale that Never Was. Frank Hui has written an essay, "Generations of Change: The New Avengers Season One." And Robert Allen provides us with some extreme trivia regarding the miniature aeroplanes seen in "The Town of No Return" and "Death at Bargain Prices."

A&E may yet make it to the finish line. 23 May. See AvengerNews for a glimmer of hope—at least for those of us in R1 land. In other news, North American fans (as well as international fans with deep pockets) may be interested in attending SpyFest, which will feature an appearance by Avengers guester Suzanne Lloyd.

Not-so-happy DVD day. 14 May. Bad news all around for video products. See AvengerNews for all of the depressing details.

Happy Mother's Day! 11 May. Sorry for the long lags between updates, but real life can get very complicated, and this is, after all, just a hobby (more on that point in a new IMHO). It is certainly not due to waning interest that I'm not around as often! Unfortunately, infrequent updates mean things tend to pile up in the old "In" box. Just scratching the surface we find a dozen new Visitor Reviews:

Also: A visitor recently brought to my attention something that has been staring me in the face literally for decades and never sank in: Steed uses a pistol to kill Henry in "How To Succeed....At Murder," which earns that page a gun icon and one D.P. Paré some major bonus points. Young Eli Mansour, who now has his own John Steed fan page, has found a website for stuntman and frequent Macnee double Rocky Taylor. Then, thanks to a generous contribution from Neubacher Gerald of Austria, all of The New Avengers episode pages now have German titles. And finally, Stephanie Jones has recommended a short stack of Avengers-related books, which have been added to The Avengers eStore. Oh, and visitor feedback for April is up.

The Master Minds! 6 May. The Seventeenth Avengers Dead Man's Treasure Hunt is now accepting registrations, and you can read all about it on the new Treasure Hunt page — there's even an online registration form you can print and submit if you are one of the lucky ones who can attend.
