Forget the war—lose yourself in a good book. 21 March. Reading Between Designs: Visual Imagery and the Generation of Meaning in The Avengers, The Prisoner, and Doctor Who by Piers Britton and Simon Barker, available in hardcover or paperback, can be purchased from the University of Texas Press online bookstore. This terrific Avengers-related book is extra-special to Yours Truly because it features an image I created; I was also tapped by one of the authors to review the Avengers sections during the final edit to help ensure accuracy—not that there was anything amiss in their excellent text. More new reading material: A review of "A Touch of Brimstone" by Cassandra Elise of Michigan and reviews of "Game" and "Bizarre" by 11-year-old Eli Mansour. Still more reading: February feedback, plus a message from a peer that is now letter of the year.

The ever-changing TNA R1 DVD box art. 8 March. Artwork for the Deep Discount DVD exclusive release of The New Avengers has changed once again. This time the A&E logo appears on the package, suggesting that the original announcement last month preceded the product's final design. At least now it appears to be legit (in spite of no official announcement from A&E), and it's rather a nice design, too. In other news... Do you write fan fiction? Do you read fan fiction? Do you enjoy participating in really long surveys? Then this is for you.

Avenging for a good cause. 7 March. The Roy Kinnear Foundation was set up in 1994 in memory of the late actor, Roy Kinnear. It owns and maintains a house in Twickenham, England that is now home for five profoundly disabled young adults. For more information, visit the Roy Kinnear Foundation Website, or contact Tom Pounder. The Foundation is located at 27 Roedean Crescent, London, SW15 5JX, telephone: 020 8878 4914. Registered Charity No. 1056641.

Where'd the webmaster go? 6 March. Sorry for the lack of frequent updates, but TAF is just a hobby after all, and being busier than a one-armed paperhanger in my real life has left little time for updates these days. Naturally my email box is getting bloated with a backlog of contributions, so here's a small variety of additions just to let people know I am still alive and well and haven't thrown in any towels just yet. New reviews: "Two's a Crowd" by Frankymole, "Dial a Deadly Number" and "The Murder Market" by short-and-to-the-point Michelle Arvin, and "Six Hands Across A Table" by regular Nick Griffiths. Also: Eli Mansour spotted another acronym, this time in "The See-Through Man." And Carlos Pagés found this article on Emma. Finally, Anna Romanelli of Italy has created Avengers money!
