Cathy Gale in italiano. 20 October. Thanks to Marco Casadei, the Italian titles for the only ten Cathy Gale episodes to air in Italy have been added to their respective pages. Also, The New Avengers was known by two rather unusual names in Italy. Grazie! Elsewhere at TAF, I've added a couple of new FAQ questions and updated the answers for many others. And... if you'd like to hear a just-recorded Avengers-oriented punk rock song from the band Tilmonkey, download it here. "What can I do?" 19 October. That's the question answered in the latest IMHO. Accompanying the new editorial are three new episode reviews from three new contributors: "The Town of No Return" by Alan Hesketh, "Love All" and "False Witness" by Barbara. Visitor John Bender offers his two cents in support of the film. There's also a bit of exciting AvengerNews! Finally, here's a new website to explore: Clive Banks' Science Fiction and Telefantasy Databanks. His Avengers pages make interesting reading: while large chunks of the text have been lifted straight from TAF, it's not quite enough to declare it plagiarism, as he has woven my work together with (presumably) his own. Still, he claims in his CV to be a writer! Errr... Cathy Gale en español. 16 October. Continuing the international enhancements, Carlos Pagés has kindly provided the Spanish titles for nearly all of the Cathy Gale episodes. Gracias!
Ain't technology wonderful. 13 October. Fans of The New Avengers will enjoy all of the fresh, spanking new DVD screen grabs on those pages. During the process of upgrading all the images, I was inspired to create a score card of sorts to help fans keep track of Steed's old friends who die, his girlfriends, Gambit's girlfriends and Purdey's ill-fated dates... Avengers '62 arrivée. 1 October. Available now are the first four volumes of Cathy Gale on DVD from Canal+ (France). Of note, this release marks the debut of three episodes previously unavailable on any current video offering, DVD or VHS: "Mission to Montreal," "The Sell-Out" and "The Removal Men." With thanks to Ross Gowland for noting their availability and Didier Belorgey for the disc contents. |
