Our Flags at Half Mast... 30 January. Sad news to report tonight. The actor, Stratford Johns, a memorable Avengers guest star in "The Frighteners" and "Legacy of Death," passed away on Tuesday night, aged 77. Those of us at TheAvengers.TV send our sincere condolences to his family. In tribute, Stratford's biography has been expanded to include more background to his career.

An 'L' of a Day... 29 January. Trawling through the biographies, there are updates, additions and general sprucing-up performed on the following 'L's... Sue Lloyd, Suzanne Lloyd (thanks Mary!), Philip Locke, Christoper Lee, Ronald Lacey, Michael Latimer, Cec Linder and Alan Lake. Also a small update to yesterday's update (!), and an amendment to Avenging Vehicles courtesy of Carlos Pagés.

The Superlative Charlotte... 28 January. The original Hana Wilde from "The Superlative Seven," Charlotte Rampling is in the spotlight today, as her biography is updated with new information.

The Ever-Present John Thaw... 24 January. It seems that these days you can't launch a new series or television movie here in Britain without it starring a 'name' actor. One of the most respected of these is veteran actor, John Thaw, who appeared in the Cathy Gale episode, "Esprit de Corps." He is rarely absent from primetime television and was recently awarded a BAFTA fellowship - the highest honor they award. The Avengers Forever today presents his revised Who's Who??? entry.

Temporarily Distracted... 22 January. Pop over to The Avengers Image Archive to see the new wallpaper...

The Radio Avengers Forever... 19 January. Another new site today, this one from Scott Saunders. Called simply The Avengers, this is an attractively designed set of pages, which contain brief looks at the television, radio and motion picture incarnations of the series. However, the raison d'être of Scott's site is to 'broadcast' the South African radio serials in MP3 format. Each week for the next thirteen weeks, a new serial will be uploaded, and will be publicised here and at The Avengers on the Radio. Please note that only one serial will be available at a time, so make sure you catch each broadcast. This is an excellent idea which will bring the radio shows to a wider audience. Scott's site also features downloadable Avengers wallpaper and a very nice downloadable Quick Time player for the episodes. Well done, Scott! This week's transmission: "Dial a Deadly Number".

Another First for TheAvengers.TV... 18 January. I'm delighted to pass on the news that my colleagues and friends at the outstanding Los Vengadores website—the only Spanish language Avengers site on the net—have launched an English language version today. This makes Los Vengadores the first unofficial Avengers site to be published bilingually. I've been doing my small part to help with the English translations, so I can attest to the enormous amount of work that webmasters Carlos Pagés and Susana Grassino (Terylene) have put into this venture. If your command of Spanish is as poor as mine, no doubt you will have looked at the site and marvelled at the superb design and the imaginative graphics on display there. Well, now a huge chunk of the site is available in English as well as Spanish, so visitors can see for themselves what a gem we've been missing out on. You can contact Carlos and Susana through the site—please drop by and tell them what an incredible job they've done.

Macnee Your Internet! 6 January. Drop by the Avenge Your PC page today and you'll find some cool new enhancements for your internet explorations... Carlos Pagés of the outstanding Los Vengadores website at TheAvengers.TV has designed some superb Internet Explorer toolbar wallpapers. Information on how to install these has been added at The Avengers Forever - HELP!. Thanks Carlos! Please feed back on these, as Carlos would love to hear your comments.

Into 2002... 1 January. Happy New Year, all! I hope everyone had a great New Year's celebration, and that we can look forward into 2002 with hope in our hearts. A bit of good news to kick off the year is that David Edge is launching a new Yahoo discussion group today - The Yahoo Emma Peel Group - the first group set up exclusively to discuss Emma Peel. Links pages updated accordingly.
