Dousing fires. (21 July) In the hopes of getting the biggest fires out before the end of the month, this update includes the announcement of the 22nd Dead Man's Treasure Hunt, including registration form, and a bit of fiction, Rebirth of the Avengers (Word document), composed by Anthony Durrant. Also: Dutch titles have been added for nearly all Emma Peel episodes, and the Netherlands broadcast schedule has been provided by Henkus Schumacher.

Yet another shock. (18 July) I knew to expect something in the mail from Rodney, and when it arrived, I immediately opened it. At first I thought I was holding a photocopy. But upon turning the first page, I noticed on the back of that page the obvious impressions of a typewriter—this was an original document. And it was as clean and pristine as if it were typed yesterday! I literally began to shake... this was no ordinary document; this was an eleven-page scene-by-scene plan of "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Station." The genesis of this troubled episode was sitting in my hands, and bearing the original working title—a title that, up to now, only a handful of people knew, among them, of course, the author, Roger Marshall.

Naturally it wasn't long before I'd scanned it and converted it to a text document in order to share it with the word, as was Roger's and Rodney's wishes. And so, ladies and gentlemen, I present the world premiere of an extraordinary find:

OVERKILL

Still recovering from the shock. (16 July) What happened to the planned updates for this month? I had several new items lined up that have yet to materialize. Well, I've been recovering from news so stunning that it's left my head spinning. Please see my latest IMHO for the details on what will constitute not just a major new feature of this website, but a landmark in our understanding of the history of The Avengers.
