Still getting hits. (19 March) Nice to know the site is still being visited, even if it's just a few regulars. Simon D has been busy writing reviews; this time around we have three: "The Town of No Return," "From Venus With Love" and "The Bird Who Knew Too Much." Meanwhile, Ron Geddes has christened "Dressed to Kill" with its first visitor review. Emails have also been trickling in with comments on the terrible loss of Gareth Hunt. As a representative example, Adam Reed of London wrote, "I had the pleasure of meeting him at a Birmingham 'Memorabilia' fair a few years ago and had a brief chat with him and got his autograph. I must have been around 18 at the time, but [had] been a fan of The Avengers and New Avengers for a while—I remember at the time I think he was the reason why I went—to meet a real Avenger! I remember him being a very friendly man who was only too happy to chat with the guests and shake their hands." Flags at half mast. (14 March) It is a very sad day indeed for all of Avengerdom. Gareth Hunt has died of pancreatic cancer. |
