Six years old!Make a wish! 13 September. Hard to believe that it all started six years ago this month (long since forgotten which day). Beginning with a whopping three pages, I had no idea that I'd planted the proverbial little acorn. Now bearing nearly eight hundred pages and joined by seven other sites, two interactive services and a store, the mighty oak continues to grow and thrive, nurtured by the love and support of an international family of fellow webmasters and a terrific fan base. Thank you all for sharing the adventure—I can only hope the site will enjoy even a fraction of the show's longevity, and that we'll continue the adventure together for many years to come. Here's a pair of visitor reviews as a little present: newcomer Alexis Rockford casts a critical eye on "Mission to Montreal" and "Requiem." There's also a review by Yours Truly of the radio version of "Dial a Deadly Number" over at Alan and Alys' Avengers on the Radio.

It takes three to tango. 11 September. With the French release of the first Cathy Gale season from Canal later this month, the world will officially have all Avengers episodes (save for the 2.3 David Keels) available on DVD. Granted, you'd need to order something from all three sources—A&E, Contender and Canal—but hey...

Tale of a Strange Case. 10 September. Discovery of the first reel of "Hot Snow" inspired further searches, naturally — David Buck and our own Alan Hayes collectively spotted a longer version (ten minutes, versus the current three) of "The Strange Case of the Missing Corpse." What makes this particularly significant is that it contains footage never before seen by the general public. Keep those fingers crossed that all of these recent wonderful finds eventually make their way to us on video.

UCLA Film Archives yields more David Keel treasure. 9 September. No use in trying to keep it quiet—now the Forum is buzzing with news of a startling new find: the first twenty minutes of "Hot Snow," the "pilot" episode of the entire Avengers series! But before you get all worked up about this, please be aware it may be quite some time before the world can see this rarity. Official wheels turn ever so slowly, you know...

"Help..." 8 September. The Forum is buzzing these days with news of lawsuits between Contender and Canal, which have stalled the current lot of R2 video releases. Bubbling up from this quagmire is a general plea for help, which is being heard more and more frequently: Which DVDs should I buy? In an effort to address the understandable confusion, I have created a new FAQ entry that will hopefully provide poor befuddled fans with some guidance. In addition, this mess has inspired a new IMHO. (Got cash?)

The Avengers in the Artists' Eye. 1 September. Those who appreciate the imagery of Carlos Pagés et al (Avenge Your PC) will delight in the works of Sharon "The Countess" Frost, who has launched a new website, TCCoC presents... The Avengers, where you'll find a smorgasbord of her marvelous creations. Do visit! For folks interested in visitor comments, August has proved one of the busiest months in ages. And there's a bit of new trivia about an inside joke in "The Interrogators."
